As creator and owner of Cottage in The Woods, Barbara Lutze is the visionary behind our team. For 32 years, Barbara was the beating heart of renowned restaurant King Ludwig’s Maleny Views and has supported hundreds of couples through wonderful weddings.

After designing and overseeing the construction of Cottage in The Woods, a bespoke cabin for 2, in a private hillside setting just outside of Maleny, Barbara saw the potential for truly special, intimate ceremony experiences.

As a career Bridesmaid (6 times and counting…) Kate Ellis had experienced the full range of wedding experiences when in 2014 she qualified as a Celebrant. Since then, Kate’s reputation for the personalisation that she loves to bring to each unique ceremony has seen her in high demand.

Frankie from Flowers by Frankie/Willow's Weddings is our creative stylist who will make your One Special Day equisite & charming. As a qualified florist with 25 years experience, a unique artistic flare, and experience creating all things beautiful for bespoke wedding flowers and styling,
Frankie believes that making your wedding day beautiful and special shouldn't mean you can't afford a honeymoon.
